As a therapist I enjoy connecting deeply, listening intently, learning people's stories, and collaborating on ways to make changes and to move forward. We can sometimes feel alone, stuck, overwhelmed, and unsure of where to go or how to improve things on our own.
Getting an unbiased look from a different viewpoint will often bring new awareness and can be a catalyst for change. Together we will work towards reducing any shame, embarrassment, or unhelpful thoughts. I will help you to recognize your strengths and gain insight into who you are. Your values, experiences and emotions are valid and I truly want to help you feel heard and understood.
In addition to my work with adults, I also have a particular passion for working with children, teens and young adults. The process of growing up comes with so many challenges to navigate. Making new friends, conflicts with parents, balancing academics with activities, and figuring out who you are and who you want to be. Often children and teens feel misunderstood, so it is my job as a therapist to help them truly feel heard. Through the process of therapy, I help them identify their feelings, learn better ways of coping and teach them to communicate what matters to them.
